Setting TERM=xxx does not reprogram a terminal nor a terminal emulator,
it only helps (n)curses based programs via terminfo description or termcap
based programs to interpret the escape sequences read from a terminal
respec. to known which escape sequences should be used to control the
terminals behaviour and appearance.
