Do you have any idea why the version of ncurses in FreeBSD 12.0 (the latest) is so ridiculously old? According to the header file and the the online documentation, ncurses on FreeBSD is version 5.9 (patch 20140222).

I'm sure this is not under your control but perhaps you know someone that I can complain to for the upcoming 12.1 release?
