Hello..
While working on a front end to parted, I noticed some odd behavior:
% parted /dev/hdb
GNU Parted 1.4.6
<snip>
(parted) p
Disk geometry for /dev/hdb: 0.000-12395.250 megabytes
Disk label type: mac
Minor Start End Filesystem Name Flags
1 0.000 0.031 Apple
(parted) mkpart primary hfs 0.1 16
(parted) p
Disk geometry for /dev/hdb: 0.000-12395.250 megabytes
Disk label type: mac
Minor Start End Filesystem Name Flags
1 0.000 0.031 Apple
2 0.031 16.000 linux-swap untitled
(parted)
Why did it create a "linux-swap" instead of "hfs"?
