True ... silly me was thinking that you wouldn't need this if you were
only building static libs ... but of course you need it then too!!! :-)

The only issue with this is that it will also build the parted executable
with -D_REENTRANT ... not that this is a big issue or anything ... it
simply makes things slightly less efficient ... (ie. (get|put)c aren't
macros, errno handling is wierd, et al ...)
