Problem in detecting RAID device!!

Hi All,

I am using parted 1.4.24 (i know it is pretty old..).  I have RAID disk
(Mylex card, DAC960).  When i run parted, it says "No device found", with
"Ignore" and "Cancel" options.

When i run the same command with the device name, i.e.,

parted /dev/rd/c0d0

i am able to work with partitions of the device.

However, I want to know why it failed in the first case and if i am using
the parted-library to enumerate the devices available in my machine, how
can i achieve this?

Any help in this regard would be appreciated.
