Hi
This is my disk geometry:
(parted) print
Disk geometry for /dev/hda: 0.000-57241.898 megabytes
Disk label type: msdos
Minor Start End Type Filesystem Flags
1 0.031 7169.633 primary ext3 boot
2 7169.634 10997.622 primary ext3
3 17414.209 56329.475 primary ext3
4 56329.475 57239.406 primary linux-swap
Using parted i have successfuly shrinked part. 2.
The problem is that I want to resize part. 3 to use the free space left
from part 2.
When i do the resize I get:
(parted) resize 3 10997.622
End? [56329.4746]?
Warning: You requested to resize the partition to 10997.622-56329.474Mb.
The closest Parted can manage is 17414.209-56329.475Mb.
I also tryed to move part 3 to 10997.622 with no success (man page says I
cant do it)
(parted) move 3 10997.622
End? [49912.8872]?
Error: Can't move a partition onto itself. Try using resize, perhaps?
How should I fix this problem?
I dont have another HDD.
Best Regards,
Joao Seabra
