Perhaps it's too early to discuss 1.7? There wasn't much done about we
discussed in the last or so month, only unfullfiled promises ;)

People have the same (and new) problems, especially with newer kernels in
the last half year and nobody cares. I know everybody is busy, volunteer,
etc but perhaps putting just some striking words on Parted's home page
(last update two(!!) years ago) like "Project is in crisis, new maintainer
and developers are needed!" could save the project.

If nobody knows the dead status, nobody will help.
