I have read through the list archives and I just want to confirm that it
appears parted will not resize ext3 partitions.
This is parted 1.6.11
Linux Kernel 2.4.26
Slackware 9.0 (if that matters)
If there is a work-around for this _please_ let me know as I screwed up
and forgot to leave room for swap on a backup drive and the main drive
is now failing.
The following is a transcript:
Using /dev/hdb
Information: The operating system thinks the geometry on /dev/hdb is
14593/255/63. Therefore, cylinder 1024 ends at 8032.499M.
(parted) print
Disk geometry for /dev/hdb: 0.000-114473.460 megabytes
Disk label type: msdos
Minor Start End Type Filesystem Flags
1 0.031 114470.969 primary ext3
(parted) resize 1 0.031 112564.819
No Implementation: This ext2 filesystem has a rather strange layout! Parted
can't resize this (yet).
