Hi !
I'm trying gparted.
I had such a partition table :
Using /dev/hda
(parted) p
Disk geometry for /dev/hda: 0.000-19092.937 megabytes
Disk label type: msdos
Minor Start End Type Filesystem Flags
1 0.031 8220.761 primary ntfs boot
2 10001.404 19092.875 extended lba
5 10001.465 14578.132 logical ntfs
6 14578.132 18078.046 logical ext3
7 18078.078 19092.445 logical linux-swap

i decided to destroy the /dev/hda5 and to recreate it ! And the numbers have changed :(((

Using /dev/hda
(parted) p
Disk geometry for /dev/hda: 0.000-19092.937 megabytes
Disk label type: msdos
Minor Start End Type Filesystem Flags
1 0.031 8220.761 primary ntfs boot
2 10001.404 19092.875 extended lba
7 10001.465 14574.594 logical ntfs
5 14578.132 18078.046 logical ext3
6 18078.078 19092.445 logical linux-swap

and a 4mo empty hole as been created after the ntfs partition new created.

bye !
LarryT
