Bug with devices of sector size higher than 512 |

Hi, I'm trying to use parted with my Promise vtrack array to partitoin a
RAID5 logical device of 5TB. The sector size of this device is
configured to be 2048 bytes by the promise controller, so is the one I
have to use. The problem is that when I try to partition with parted I
get next message:
You found a bug in GNU Parted. Please email a bug report to
address@hidden containing the version (1.6.19), and the following
message:
The sector size on /dev/sda is 2048 bytes. Parted is known not to work
properly with drives with sector sizes other than
512 bytes
Ignore/Cancel?
Is this a bug? Is this not supported? Should I upgrade my version of
parted? May I used parted to create 5 TB size partitions?
Thanks for help
Jorge
