Hi !
According to the documentation, the move command
(http://www.gnu.org/software/parted/manual/html_node/parted_21.html#SEC20)
might be why I'm looking for but I'd like to have a confirmation.
I have an ext3 partition beginning at offset X and ending and offset Y. I'd
like to extend it in order to begin at X-12GB and end at Y.
I noticed 2 things :
- You can give an optional "end" argument to move : is it recommanded to use
this or use move+resize
- ext3 partitions seems supported, but the documentation claims : "- ext2,
ext3 (provided the destination partition is larger than the source
partition)". Which destination partition ?
Thanks for any answer !
Vincent.
