Bug introduced since parted 1.6.12

Since version 1.6.12, there is something strange going on when creating fat32 partitions.

 

In version 1.6.11, it worked. If we try to create a fat32 partition, it always gives an warning about a difference in the geometry. Parted sees another disk layout then the kernel.

 

As starting with 1.6.12, it doesn't give the warning anymore, but the server won't boot anymore. And the very strange thing is, it only happens with HP Proliant, We have tried it also with several Dell and there is works normally.

 

Any idea what can cause this?
