No Implementation: Partition 3 isn't aligned to cylinder boundaries. This is
still unsupported.
A bug has been detected in GNU Parted. Refer to the web site of parted
http://www.gnu.org/software/parted/parted.html for more informations of what
could be useful for bug submitting! Please email a bug report to
address@hidden containing at least the version (1.7.1) and the following
message: Assertion (disk != NULL) at ../../libparted/disk.c:1319 in function
ped_disk_next_partition() failed.

disk has no partitions. Refurb WDC 250.1 GB WDC WD2500LB-55EDA0

complaint about "Partition 3" above implies that qtparted is taking
serious drugs.

uname -a
Linux ubuntu 2.6.17-10-generic #2 SMP Fri Oct 13 18:45:35 UTC 2006 i686

This effectively makes it completely impossible to install kubuntu on
this disk drive.

Thanks, and I know I'm wasting my time,
Bill Dudley
