Hi Hans,

GParted is a separate project that uses libparted for many of it's partition editing functionality.

To help diagnose the problem, would you please provide the output from the following commands:

    fdisk -l -u

    parted /path-to-your-disk-device unit s print

If the parted command fails to recognize the partitions as UFS, then we might be looking at a bug in parted. Otherwise the problem likely exists in GParted.

Hi list,

I'm using GParted 0.4.1 on a disk with a.o. two UFS FreeBSD partitions.

Limited UFS support (move, copy) is claimed in GParted's file system
support table, but GParted lists the UFS partition as unformatted/no
file system found.

Is this intended behaviour ?

ps. please CC me as I'm not subscribed to this list.
