Nak. As far as I can tell this fs isn't going anywhere, nor should
it IMO.
Would you reconsider your nak? I mean it really doesn't hurt to add
the very simple detection code, especially when someone else has gone
to the trouble of writing it.
Well, I personally would like to add a +1 to Brian's stance.
Reiserfs brought journalling to linux before ext4 was out, was promoted by a Germain mainstream linux distro that I used at that time, and I lost an
entire production email server system due to a simultaneous a and b power outage at the datacenter and reiser filesystem inconsistency
where reisers's own fsck tools could not repair the filesystem. This
pre-dated the author's felony and he was contactable and could only
advise to rebuild from backups.
Support for resiserfs should remain, IMHO, in the realm of the hobbyists, researchers who should only use it in isolation and stay out of mainstream and away from production as it is not fit for
purpose. No other tool should support its existence in mainstream.
