Hello

I downloaded GNU Prolog.
It would not compile in the August 2000 Cygwin development environment that
has gcc-2.95.2-2 (a version after the B20 version, with a 4Aug00 cygwin1.dll).

The version was obtain yesterday and it was gprolog-1.2.1.tar.gz, 2048KB.

I am not sure, but the 'make Makefile' compilation may have died
around here in cygwin.h:

#ifdef _PATH_PASSWD
extern HANDLE cygwin_logon_user (const struct passwd *, const char *);
#endif

This is just a note and no fix would make no difference to me. (I haven't got
prolog running yet. I wanted it to run an Single Transferable Vote algorithm
many times under a program doing random walks looking for rule violations,
