Using Fedora Core3 i686
prolog version gprolog-1.2.16
the only thing that gives a no when configuring is "sys/ioctl_compat.h
also there is no cross compiling

Configuration seems to run smoothly but make command produces a screens of
errors as follows:

The problem seems to be with the wam_inst files. There are previous
declarations for many variables eg "Swith_on_term, creat_choice_point and
many more. As a result a few variables in unify.c also give the same
previous declarations error message.

"expressions as lvalues is deprecated" this message shows up often also
Final error message is wam_inst.0 error 1

I tried configure without c optimization regs and also using CFLags and
still could not compile.

Any suggestions?
                Thanks.
