Yes. completion-prefix-display-length takes precedence over any colored
prefix setting.
Shouldn't it make sense that this works independently?
Maybe. It never has.
If on sets e.g.
set colored-completion-prefix 10
...so that long file names or so are abbreviated...
one still might want to have the short common prefixes for options or
so highlighted.
Let me see what I can find.
