They were very helpful and the job placement was good. I'm used to not taking him in shops or in public areas, he's not allowed in most areas here in the states. And, it introduced tons of vocabulary to them.
The pay is really good and I recommend the program. However, my MA is not in ESL.
After the course I was offered a lot of jobs in Beijing and China but chose to work at high school and part-time at a language school. If you do not have a friend or a connection you will only be dealing with agents who are out to make a buck for themselves and giving you the worst deal possible. It seems to me the same way we larned English as children is the best way to learn as adults. In order to provide you with information about cities that would be useful for you, I hope that you will participate in this poll question. My undergrad is in art education and I am state certified-I'm not sure if that makes a difference? To me, they need to be able to write a simple English sentence - not master advanced essay writing. I have some successes with my college students - of course, depends a lot on how motivated they are.

They don't understand half of what you say to them, no matter how many years of English they've studied and how "good" their vocabulary supposedly is.
