Suprious error `ignoring stray text' with makeinfo 4.0 on Solaris

Hi.

(If this goes to a list, please CC replies to me as I'm not
subscribed.)

When I try to compile the GNU Pascal manual on a Sparc/Solaris
system with makeinfo 4.0, I get a spurious error (see below).

I can't seem to reproduce the bug on a GNU/Linux system. It also
seems to depend on the number of characters or something -- if I
remove a line in gpc.texi or move the texi files into one directory,
the problem disappears.

That's the reason why I can't easily provide a small example to
reproduce it. I've therefore put an example (229678 bytes) up on
http://www.mi.uni-erlangen.de/~heckenb/makeinfo-bug.tar.gz
(I'll leave it there for ~2 weeks unless you tell me otherwise.)

It contains a script `bug' which does the makeinfo invocation to
produce the error. The output on the Solaris system is:

SunOS interdoc 5.6 Generic_105181-16 sun4u
makeinfo (GNU texinfo) 4.0
