Sorry, let me understand what you are saying: are you saying that you
see no change in the TOC after that patch?  Or are you saying that
there's a new problem, or that some part of the old problem is still
unresolved?

What exactly did you mean by ``the first entry of the toc is not
displayed''?  Can you show the problematic TOC entry produced by
makeinfo and tell what happens when you try to display it?
