Then I guess the first line of defence would be to remove the SGR
escapes altogether, like we do today with \b.

Werner, could you please tell what escape sequences will grotty emit,
or point me to the file in the Groff distro where I can find this info?

The real problem with this script is that it comes with a 130MB
baggage ;-)
