We need some more data to work on this, like a backtrace from the core
file (assuming Info dumps core), or from a debugger if you can run Info
under a debugger.
You could also try the latest pretest texinfo-4.0k.tar.gz available from
alpha.gnu.org, and see if the problem is fixed there.
