Would you be sure that it's really possible? That is, they can be
installed into the same `dir' even if their categories / entries
conflict? I remember I failed this...
The dircategories/entries are only used by install-info when updating
the dir file, as far as I can remember. They have no effect on what
info readers do with the dir file. So menu entries like
* Emacs 21: (emacs21).
* Emacs 20: (emacs20).
should work (but I haven't tried it :). You'll have to create them by
hand instead of using install-info, and rename the emacs*.info files by
hand too, but I guess you're already doing that...
