Not, that this is a real problem, but it seems that the configure checks
are not in sync with the autoconf variables in the Makefiles.
You're saying those variables ended up not getting expanded?
They (principally HAVE_LIB, LIB, LTLIB) are nothing I use myself. I
believe they're coming from the gettext automake/autoconf support, and I
think the problems may have been fixed, because in my current sources
(and the latest pretest), there are no unexpanded @foo@ in the
Makefiles:
$ find -name Makefile | grep '@[A-Za-z0-9_]*@'
$
Or am I misunderstanding your report?
