new paragraph after @end table

In the debian i386 packaged makeinfo 4.3, foo.texi below processed
with

        makeinfo foo.texi

produces the following in foo.info

        Table entry
             This is the item text.  This is subsequent text.

whereas I might have expected the "subsequent text" to be a new
paragraph (which is what happens with texi2dvi).

I'm not sure if this should be regarded as a bug or merely a case of
"don't do that".  I noticed it in the guile manual.
