Hi James,
I'm creating a binary distribution of texinfo and need to present
my package with a copyright. The file COPYING refers to documents
that don't exist (doc/COPYING*)
I made a foolish error when I created the distribution. COPYING should
simply be the GNU GPL. I surmise that you are familiar with it; If not,
you can read it at http://www.gnu.org/licenses, or in any other GNU
source distribution, etc.
and README says copying is fine
as long as "copyright notice and this notice are preserved" but
the copyright doesn't exist in the source distribution.
That's for the README file itself, which has a self-contained copyright.
Thanks for the report.
