It would be a Good Thing, IMHO, if we could find a way to make HTML
browsers behave like Info readers. That is, make them search for HTML
files in some user-definable list of directories.
It's not going to happen. Don't bother thinking about it. That's not
what browsers are all about.
"makeinfo --html" uses now for translating @anchor's: it produces an
otherwise empty HTML file which redirects the browser to another file.
Yes, Patrice developed a nice method of doing these redirections,
which could support split-by-chapter, i.e., make it irrelevant how the
source files were split.
