leading whitespace is stripped in the @macro
I'm afraid that this is going to be quite complicated to fix, although I
agree it is a bug. At first glance, it is unclear to me how makeinfo
handles whitespace in macros. In texinfo.tex, it seems whitespace is
read according to TeX's normal rules, which ignores leading spaces.
For now, all I can offer is an ugly workaround: replace every leading
space in the macro body with `@ '.
Well, I suppose another option, as far as TeX goes anyway, is to forget
the ascii display and write a raw TeX \halign to produce a pretty
picture :).
Sorry,
