--section=SECTION?

I have a few text files (e.g., ANNOUNCE, THANKS, TODO) that more or
less duplicate data stored in the manual.  I thought it would simplify
keeping this information in sync if they could be generated from the
manual.  To do this, something like a --section would be useful.

$ makeinfo --section Acknowledgements --no-headers foo.texi > THANKS

What do you think?  Can this already be (easily) achieved somehow?

This is not critical for me now, but thought I'd like to mention it to
get some feedback, so I have something to reference when I get around
to write a patch.  (But don't let that stop anyone from implementing
it...)
