CVS texinfo.tex and kpathsea

I meant to try the updates of deffn etc., but I experience some novel
failures:

The file is question is appended.  It struggles to try to have a nice
presentation of EBNF grammars whatever the underlining system.  It was
delicate to tune due to several limitations (in particular the
handling of spaces in macros).  I have not tried to upgrade it, yet.
