texi2dvi fails on

I don't think there's any feasible way to fix this. The TeXnical reason
is that the catcodes are set when the argument to @samp, but @verb needs
to change catcodes in order to make things work.
For this reason, the manual says "It is not reliable to use address@hidden'
inside other Texinfo constructs."
Aside from implementation impossibilities, I'm not even sure combining
@verb with anything else makes sense logically. The whole point of
@verb is to be verbatim. Adding additional markup around text that is
explicit said to be "literal" ... ?
Is there a real case where you wanted to use it?
