The tag "@heading" should be visually equivalent to (unnumbered) @section.
"@subheading" and "@subsubheading" look like @subsection and @subsubsection
headings, respectively.
Does this explain it?
If you need "subsubsubsections", you should perhaps use "subsubheading",
so that the titles are not bigger than subsubsection headings.
