That's strange, I'm not getting this error. Typing ``iread<CR>''
jumps to Input Functions node successfully.
Is this the emacs reader? If not, can you please pack the Info files
so I can compare with what I get?

I see. Currently, I have no idea why this is happening, but I'll try
to fix it right now.
