    Complex formats (like @multitable, @example..) in simple commands
    (like @b, @code or @samp) don't work everytime as expected.

Is this a surprise?  That's not what those simple font-changing commands
are intended for.  Is there some need for them to handle huge stretches
of text?  For @code and @samp, at least, @example would be a better
approach.  As for @b, huge blocks of bold aren't a good idea anyway :).
