Hi Aubrey,

Eli, Patrice, and Alper have responded to most of the various issues
you've brought up.  I just have notes on a couple of topics, which I'll
send separately.

If you feel anything else needs more discussion, please try to keep the
different topics separate.  I find it hard to follow the very long
messages with many mixed topics.  Thanks.


First, on the file

I am not convinced that there is any gain to changing the
nodename-to-filename mapping again.  This does not seem like a case of
right and wrong to me.  I simply don't think your proposal would be
significantly better for most users, so I'd rather not change it for the
sake of changing it.  We have not received any other complaints about it.

Obviously you don't agree.  All I can say is, sorry about that.
