Hi David,
The following definition caused macro usage in section headings to
barf at my site when in PDFTeX:
Can you please send the file that breaks it? It works with my test file
(below), both pack and mpack get expanded. same results with tex and
pdftex.
I don't see anything wrong with your code, but I'd like to understand.
