Absolutely no need to.  You quite politely express opinions, and that is
very OK with me.  Moreover, as it is true that not much bubbles escape
from the Recode pot, which has not been especially boiling recently, I
surely deserve your comments.

No doubt that GNU libc people would prefer modifying `iconv'.  It would
not be a good investment, in my opinion, to put energies in Recode, if it
is meant for libc in the long run.  On the other hand, nothing is fully
black and nothing is fully white.  I've heard a few times arguments
saying more or less: if it's "pure" enough, let's have it in `iconv'.
If it's rather tainted, let it be a job for Recode.

That's OK with me as well.  Recode is meant to serve, not to drive! :-)
