Hi Gary, Derek,

Thanks for reporting the index overwriting, but I need to know more
specifics. Is a case-insensitive filesystem involved somewhere, or is
it all Unix? What is the source document?

In general, makeinfo distinguishes two nodes with the "same" name via
anchors. Collisions/overwriting should not occur. It's been a while
since I looked at that part of the code.

If you actually have two nodes named exactly "Index", makeinfo should be
reporting that as an error.

I don't think this has anything to do with gendocs.sh per se? The
index.html that gendocs creates is at the "top level" of the output,
whereas any per-node output is in an html_node/ subdirectory, so I don't
see offhand how that could cause a collision.

Thanks,
karl
