    Once I am on node 1.6, if I press [ to go back to the previous node, I

Thanks for the report.  I believe this bug is fixed in Texinfo 4.8,
which I released a couple weeks ago.  You can get the source from
ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/texinfo if you wish.
