    This can be fixed on the output end: manpage is posprocessed by sed.

Thanks for fixing all those things.  I'm not crazy about the
postprocessing, though, it seems like it shouldn't be necessary.  Can't
help2man be enhanced to give the right results?  Can you email
address@hidden about it?
