Good, so I will try to hack the Debian install-info to accept the GNU
command line arguments. And as long as we stay in touch and you tell me
in time that GNU install-info changes cmd-line arguments, I will try to
keep the Debian install-info in sync.
All under the assumption that my suggestions to improve/extend
install-info are accepted, I am not the maintainer ...
