Subject: Gripes with "info" Command
Standalone info was implemented perhaps 15 years ago as a clone of Emacs
Info, which itself dates back to before the GNU project existed. If
someone wants to write a new info browser that behaves more sensibly in
today's world, I am all for it, and will do what I can to help. I don't
think it makes sense to radically change the existing Info command, and
anyway, it's not my priority.
BTW, I completely agree with you about "help" doing something
reasonable. Sigh.
Regards,
k
