all the html manuals in a directory relative to the directory gendoc.sh
I think the actual script location should be irrelevant. But the main
point of manually arranging the output dirs in a particular structure is
possible, as Ralf has replied. It seems kind of ugly to me though.
Also, I wouldn't like to propose a new standard that changes the url of
every existing GNU manual.
Where is gendoc.sh, by the way?

the simplest way to go.
Nothing about cross-manual references is simple :(.
