For your information, when using 'iso symbols' in texi2html, we use:
'equiv' => '≡',
'dots' => '…',
'bullet' => '•',
'result' => '⇒',
'expansion' => '→',
'point' => '∗',
"'" => '’',
'`' => '‘',
makeinfo does the same for some of these commands and for the quotes.
