* Bind PageUp and PageDown by default to scroll-backward and
scroll-forward, instead of to scroll-backward-page-only and
scroll-forward-page-only.
Agreed, done.
* Set scroll-step=1 and cursor-movement-scrolls=On by default.
Agreed, done.
* Use ? to search backward.
In vi mode, was already done. In Emacs mode, sorry, I don't agree.
* Use h to show the help window (and H for the tutorial).
Agreed, done.
* A second h should close the help window again.
Agreed, but will have to leave it for another time.
* The help text should show q as the key for quitting 'info',
instead of the bewildering C-x C-c.
Agreed, done.
* The first keys to be shown under "Selecting other nodes" should
be ] and [, not n and p.
Agreed, done.
* And after those two it should mention Tab and Enter --
Agreed, done.
and it should use those names, instead of TAB and RET.
I see the point, but sorry, I'm not ready to break with Emacs and make
such a global change just now.
Thank you very much for all those suggestions.
karl
P.S. As always, I would be very grateful for a volunteer with time and
inclination to come forward to maintain standalone Info on an ongoing basis.
