Failure with texinfo.tex 2008-02-15.11

Hello,

I have tried to compile LilyPond manuals with latest texinfo.tex from
CVS (2008-02-15.11); pdfetex complained with stopping compilation,
saying 'Undefined control sequence'. I tried to cut the Texinfo sources
down to a minimal example reproducing the problem, with two files

=== test.texi ===
\input texinfo
@setfilename test

@include macros.texi

@internalsref{Foo}

@bye
=================

=== macros.texi ===
@macro internalsref{TEXT}
@vindex \TEXT\
@end macro
===================

Building with an older texinfo.tex (2007-09-03.05) is successful.

If I replace '@include macros.texi' with the macro definition this file
contains, building is successful with latest texinfo.tex.

The full error log I get is

$ texi2pdf test.texi
