Thanks for the patch. I've fetched texinfo.tex from ftp://tug.org/tex/ .
Here are the results.
Now ogoneks' font is quite similar to the rest (but not the same, take
a close look). Moreover there's eogonek instead of aogonek all over the
PDF. Capitals are fine, though. I've also observed that in the PDF
index all diacritics have been removed.
The source and the PDF are attached. texi2pdf doesn't show any error
messages.
