I think that a new @macro like @-command is not a good thing to
introduce, especially when there is dissatisfaction about the current
@macro. More to the point, I can't see why it should be needed here
since @macro should just work, and in the mean time the workaround to
use makeinfo to expand the @macro seems fine to me.
