Sorry, I didn't mean to sound like I was complaining. I was just thinking that
given a large collection of changes is about to hit trunk, it might be nice to
sort out the legacy naming issues.

Most of the questions I'm asking at the moment immediately apply to me and my
GNU Automake build system, which uses makeinfo for the documentation. When would
it be likely that Automake be updated to use the new programs?
